Speech, Language and Swallowing Disorders in adults include Aphasia and/or Cognitive Deficits, Dysarthria, Apraxia, Dysphagia, and Voice Disorders. Adults may experience these speech and language difficulties for a variety of reasons, including head and neck cancer, vocal abusive behaviors, and/or numerous neurological disorders. Several more common neurological disorders include:
